Join us in changing the way we tell time

The world stands on the doorstep of getting truly connected. Kronaby is part of Anima AB, a Swedish startup company specializing in purposefully designed smart and connected products. Kronaby is a new, international, premium watch brand and the next generation of watches. It is not only about keeping time, it´s about you and your everyday life. Our approach is agile, honest and curious, with the aim to empower people around us.

“Technology made human”, these are the lead words for We at Anima firmly believe that technology should be made for the people and that technology should be manufactured without compromising on beauty and usability.

The primary launch is done with the new watch brand Kronaby being first in line. Kronaby consists of a collection of smart and beautiful watches connected to Android and iOS devices. This product line consists of Anima-produced software components such as embedded device firmware, Android/iOS applications and cloud services.

As a preparation for the next step Anima is currently staffing up its embedded software team and are looking for continuously-curious and open-minded software developers.

  • B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Electronics and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-years of embedded software development experience
  • Low-level C programming
  • Knowledge and/or experience with ARM-based systems
  • Experience with RTOS (e.g. free RTOS)
  • Experience with the GCC toolchain
  • Experience with script languages such as Shell, Make, Python
  • Experience with debugging with GDB
  • Experience with using GIT for version control
  • Experience in implementing a given standard/protocol according to specifications
  • Curious and open-minded
  • Team-player
  • Experience of working in cross-functional groups
Preferred skills
  • Experience with Linux as a development platform
  • Power-consumption-awareness on limited, embedded, resources
  • Knowledge about Bluetooth low-energy and/or other local connectivity technologies (NFC, WiFi, 802.15.4)
  • Experience in some object-oriented language (C++, Java etc)
  • Experience in some GUI framework (C#, Qt etc)
