The Mission

SKF Communication studio is taking the next exciting step in developing into a full-service communication agency. Already, today, we are a well-established in-house agency, with a traditional marketing material production focus, along with creating technical catalogues and handbooks. We are strong in adapting and creating material for employees and strategic presentations. The time has come for us to widen our scope and expand our service offer and strengthen our creative competencies by building a creative team.

Currently there are some 30 team members based in Gothenburg Sweden, Schweinfurt Germany and Luton UK.

The Opportunity

Maybe we need you more than you need us. As Art Director your main task is to create amazing visual concepts and content across all channels. We design everything from digital content to packaging to trade fairs to rebranding material. You can translate high level requirements into effective designs, and you use whatever tools necessary to make sense to your target groups. You master InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator as well as PowerPoint, and most probably some tools we don't know of yet. It's essential for you to conceptualize ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to solve complex design. While developing and implementing best practices you inspire the in-house staff with your ideas and customer-centric attitude. Together with other designers in the company you develop SKF's visual presence and support SKF Group and local markets in their digital development.

You are responsible for our visual and graphical approach, and you make sure our creative work embodies SKF tone of voice. For us it is key to have consistency in content, motion graphics and design across industries.

Along with the rest of the creative team, you help select partners to best serve marketing and communication needs. You oversee and approve the final production to preserve the integrity of the idea. Interactively, in cooperation with customers, clients, and colleagues, you help develop the corporate identity.


First - you are passionate about your craft. Also, you are ideas-driven and creative with a passion for innovative communication that can drive yourself and SKF forward. To effectively communicate design ideas, you are able to present and sell your ideas to your customers.

You are up-to-date with the latest techniques, tools and principles of visual design. You have a natural curiosity for the current trends in society, business and technology.

Your approach to creative work is to look beyond the expected, yet always with the clients' and end customers' needs in mind. You enjoy change, and thrive when given an opportunity to influence it.

Your conceptual ability and aesthetic sense are vital for the continued success of SKF Communication Studio. So too is your ambition to grow and develop your role with us.
