Greenbyte is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our marketplace offering.


About the job
As the Business Development Manager, you are responsible for Greenbyte's Marketplace offering, making sure the company's customer base has an ever-growing base of integrations and 3rd party applications that further enhance the value derived from the Greenbyte SaaS platform. In addition to managing the Marketplace offering you will be making sure Greenbyte knows what's happening in the world of renewables and what our competition is up to. You will report to the Chief Growth Officer.

Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will play a significant role in growing the value our customers capture through our platform as well as increasing revenue and supporting growth of Greenbyte. You will be responsible for our entire Marketplace offering, making sure we work with the right partners, offer the right Add-Ons at the right price. You drive adoption, usage and sales by being able to tie problems to solutions and find the right fit for our industry. You manage existing partner relationships as well as explore new ones and finally you need to work seamlessly throughout the organization to make sure that the Add-Ons we have get promoted, packaged, sold, adopted and supported. Your measurement of success will be based on Marketplace adoption. In addition, macro analysis of the world of renewables as well as competitive intelligence is part of your responsibilities.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage existing partner relationships
  • Source and evaluate future partner relationships
  • Packaging of both Greenbyte and 3rd party Add-Ons promoted through the Greenbyte Marketplace
  • Pricing of both Greenbyte and 3rd party add-ons promoted through the Greenbyte Marketplace
  • Partner with leaders across Greenbyte to make sure the Add-Ons we promote through the Marketplace are promoted, packaged, sold, adopted and supported
  • Constantly look for new strategic partner opportunities that support both our customers as well as Greenbyte's continuous growth journey
  • Build relationships with key customers, prospects, trade bodies and potential partners to always be one step ahead of the industry in realizing future partner and growth opportunities
  • Stay on top of latest trends and developments within the renewable energy and SaaS business models
  • Ownership of competitor intelligence

What are we looking for:

You have a strong background in business development or entrepreneurship. You float comfortably between areas such as product packaging, pricing, sales, marketing, product, legal and customer success. You know how to create success through cross-functional collaboration using influencing skills and mutual buy-in. This is a truly cross-functional role and you need to thrive in that setup.

You are a positive, optimistic and enthusiastic team player with drive, business acumen and an analytical and strategic mindset. Talking strategy is inspiring but converting strategy into action is really what gets you going in the morning. Starting new initiatives is fun, but completing them is even more satisfying.

You are analytical and data driven, excel is a friend and not a foe. It's great if you have an interest in both technology and renewables and you enjoy to interface with individuals who possess deep domain expertise as well as deep technical knowledge. Software business models triggers your interest rather than bores you out.

You enjoy operating in an everchanging and rapidly moving environment, both internally and externally, you communicate well, both in written as well as verbal form and you seamlessly build new relationships, both internally and externally. And yes, fluency in English is a must.

Management experience is a plus but not a requirement.
