About the Unit
To support Yara's growth ambition, we are looking for a "Continuos Improvement Manager" who is interested in developing/implementing lean activeties at our Köping site while also being open to take part in global initiatives.

Köping Plant is a leading Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) producer in Yara. With 2 nitric acid units and 2 TAN lines, our global capacity is 360 kt of TAN used in civil explosives and mining industries. We produce also more than 100 kt of products for water treatment, DeNOx and environmental applications. The site has about 100 employees and is certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Our teams are following the more rigorous standards in safety, environment, quality and productivity.

  • Act as project change agent for the plant. Manage the execution of projects within the program defined by the roll-out plan
  • Manage project execution with the objectives of achieving
  • Successful completion of "analyze", "design" and "implement" project phases
  • Apply selected methods within "plant", "processes", "organization and skills", "performance" management" and "mind-sets and behaviors" dimensions
  • Set the basis for continuous improvement
  • Mater cultural change by employing methods of change management
  • Give direction and advise in transformation processes
  • Reach goals
  • Build a factory team to execute the transformation process
  • Support the local Management team towards successful execution of the projects
  • Coach team members to become stand-alone work stream leads
  • Bachelor/master degree in engineering, economics or similar
  • At least 5 years of operational experience in production environment. Operational experience from the chemical industry will be appreciated
  • The candidate should be highly motivated and self-driven
  • Ability to foster teamwork
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train and motivate teams
  • Proven track record in Lean Six Sigma and/or production system implementation is an advantage
  • Experience in Change Management is an advantage
  • International experience and ability to work with different cultures is an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Swedish
Additional Information
The local Continuous Improvement Manager will report to the Plant Manager and will be part of the local Management team.
