Job description:

Reporting to the Managing Director, EMEA, the OPW Sweden Business Manger is responsible for overall business leadership for our KPS business unit located in Kungsor, Sweden. The preferred candidate will be a strategic leader for the business with a strong focus on operations and is expected to execute the business strategy including business planning, people leadership and business execution.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business to meet or exceed the business goals set for the organization while living and holding the team accountable to the Dover values.
  • Implement business unit marketing strategies and programs necessary to both maintain and expand the customer base.
  • Provide leadership to the organization's management team while fostering a culture of high performance, professional development, and ethical behavior creating a developmental pipeline for the overall business.
  • Provide guidance to the operations team to ensure all jobs are manufactured safely while maintaining the highest quality standards and on time delivery.
  • Leads manufacturing operations toward productivity gains, capacity utilization, delivery performance and resource utilization.
  • Develops and implements strategic and operational initiatives designed to meet the short and long term goals plans for the organization.
  • Leverage and drive continuous improvement culture and activities in all aspects of the business, be the cultural champion for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the central functions, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Finance etc. to ensure proper processes and controls are in place and adhered to and best practices and improvements are shared.
  • Ensures all regulatory requirements and contracts are full implemented in a timely manner including but not limited to labor law, building/facility codes, safety training etc.
  • Other activities may be assigned as needed.
Required profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or closely related technical field.
  • MBA in business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of business leadership within a manufacturing environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
  • Strong business acumen and sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Demonstrated leadership of direct reports.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to interact and influence cross-functionally at all levels; ability to build trust with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to drive and influence change. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
