About the job
The position is placed in Lund at our headquarter and you will become a member of the CIO Office team, with a dotted line reporting to Service Delivery.

The technical security manager role is an operational role, responsible for enforcing security procedures, efficient access management, information protection on a technical layer and support security crisis events.

Main tasks:
  • Works with Alfa Laval's local and corporate IT departments as well as members of the information security team to identify, select and implement technical controls.
  • Ensures information security regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures that security policies and standards are implemented across group companies.
  • Plays a key role in the disaster recovery and business continuity area
  • Develops security processes and procedures and supports service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained.
  • Performs system security administration on designated technology platforms, including operating systems, applications and network security devices, in accordance with the defined policies, standards and procedures, as well as with industry best practices and vendor guidelines.
  • Performs threat and vulnerability assessments, in some cases followed by appropriate remedial action, to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities.
  • Removes known control weaknesses, such as unnecessary services, applications or redundant user accounts, as a means of hardening systems in accordance with security policies and standards.
  • Manages risk by analyzing the root cause of issues, impact to technology and implement corrective actions.
  • Researches and assesses new threats and security alerts, and recommends remedial actions.
Educational Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience within information security.
  • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or other similar credentials, is desired.
  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO 2700x, and ITIL.
Technical Competency
  • Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment/management, threat management, vulnerability management, incident response and identity/access management.
  • Technical knowledge with security related systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols.
  • Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures.
