About the job
Your responsibility as R&D scientist is to work within the R&D team, as well as broadly across different departments, to ensure excellent product delivery. This requires a wealth of knowledge about a range of products and technologies, provide technical and scientific support to marketing and commercial teams, recommend improvements, identify opportunities and add scientific value to our products.
Internally, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial team technically and scientifically and you will work in close collaboration with product managers, as well as manufacturing. Externally, you respond to, and assist, customers to resolve technical problems, provide scientific input to secure new accounts and more. As the link between many functions at Svar as well as externally, your skills as a master communicator as well as your ability to see the big picture and keep your head cool in high pressure situations will be appreciated.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Participate actively in the development of the company
Take responsibility for technical and scientific support internally & externally
Participate in the development & validation of immunoassays, cell-based reporter gene assays and evaluation of assay performance
Work with R&D and in close collaboration with the product management, marketing and manufacturing
Add scientific value to existing and new developed products via case studies, posters & presentations
Participate in tech transfer for cell and reagent production
Get a chance to grow quickly from interacting with many functions in a commercial operation
Location: Malmö, Sweden
Reports to: Head of R&D

About you
You are ambitious and dedicated with a drive to support the organization by developing successful products within the R&D pipeline. You are motivated by achieving great results through, and together with, teams across Svar Life Science and you exhibit a high simultaneous capacity, are passionate about science and solving technical challenges.
We believe you have the following qualifications:
PhD in life sciences preferably immunology/cell biology/molecular biology
Experience with assay development of cell-based reporter gene assays and immunoassays
Experience with technical customer support
Excellent communication skills and commercial mindset
Experience with data visualization and communication (posters, marketing collateral, website content etc) is an advantage
Experience with conducting research in pharma/biotech within immunology/inflammatory diseases is preferrable
Knowledge of basic quality system regulations, procedures and MS office
Good interpersonal skills working in an international environmentA positive, problem solving mindset, responsible and caring
Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required
