Flatirons has a Customer Support Engineer Technical Lead position open in Orebro, Sweden .

As a Customer and Support Engineer Technical Lead you will work with tasks that are essential for our customers' everyday life, when their technical staff build, maintain or operate aircraft or other complex and long-lived technical equipment. You will get close to your customers and help advising and guiding them on how to handle their complex data and how to get an efficient overview of the information that must be readily available to them at all times. It is important that you are Swedish and you are able to withstand a security check.

What will your responsibilities include?
The Customer and Support Engineer Technical Lead role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, provide software consulting and support and collaborate with internal account manager and product teams.
  • Be a trusted advisor of the customer, including participation in customer meetings, and ad-hoc travels to customer premises
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Tier-1 team, as well as product and project owners
  • Support deployment/upgrades of Authoring systems (CMS)
  • Support deployment/upgrades of IETP Solutions

Ideally, you are geographically situated near our local office in Örebro. The main part of your day to day contact will be with customers in or around Sweden (EMEA) and your manager in Denmark and coworkers in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Who are you?
You have an engineering background, great insight into complex software solutions. You truly like to interact with customers, and you have both the capability and the desire to understand customers challenges and translate them into creative solutions within the given time. You are aware that success in IT projects is dependent on a strong cooperation, flexibility, effective communication and a resilient drive and dedication. You have a good knowledge of/experience with several of the following areas:
  • XML, XSD, XSLT, XSL-FO
  • Exposure to software development, preferably Java
  • Scripting (shell, cmd)
  • Oracle, including installation
  • Java and JEE
  • Tomcat, Weblogic or another application server
  • Technical documentation standards like ASD S1000D, ATA (iSpec2200), DITA
  • Technical documentation in general
  • Linux, Windows
Due to security restrictions imposed by our customers we are only able to progress applications from candidates with Swedish Nationality. All successful candidates will be required to complete a Security Clearance prior to joining Flatirons.
