About I-Talent Programme
This is a unique opportunity to join one of Sweden's largest companies and get all the training and support you need to quickly become a skilled IT professional. IT at Scania is partnering with us at Sigma for a six months programme that will be the fast lane to becoming an IT Professional.

During the program you will be working at Scania practicing your skills and learning more about the company, their products and business. Together with your fellow IT talents you will receive technical training and learn more about yourself in communication and collaboration training, all by dedicated teachers. To your support you will also have senior mentors from both Scania and Sigma.

For the program we are looking for IT talents in a wide array of competence areas, and one of these areas is Big Data platform development.

Big data platform development at Scania
The team in charge of the development and maintenance of Scania's Data Lake (big data platform) and Common Data Warehouse is looking for several IT talents. The teams mission is to support numerous stakeholders with various analyses ranging from business intelligence to advanced data science (i.e. machine learning, deep learning).

You will be working in
close collaboration with other units in Scania with the goal of helping Scania in their digitalization. You will support with tools and processes, and make sure that business critical data is made available – for instance data from connected vehicles, production equipment and different internal and external systems.

You will get to work
with both the development and the maintenance of the big data platform, as well as the lifecycle management and IT security related matters.

Scania believes that
agile methods, high quality code and consistent, high performing development teams are key factors that will make their journey successful. You will have a central role in the team and will meet a lot of stake holders within the Scania organisation. Today the team consists of developers, technical specialists, system administrators and architects, and there are many ways for you to develop professionally in this role!

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for IT graduates who have the potential and desire to become T-shaped
IT Professionals at Scania. This means having the ability and the drive to acquire knowledge both in an overall perspective and in certain areas in depth.
Applicants should hold a relevant Bachelor or a Master degree.

You will
also need the following IT skillset:

* Experience in scripting, i.e. Javascript and Python

* Knowledge in Linux as well as SQL

* Experience in Hadoop in highly meritorious

Furthermore, we are looking for committed and motivated individuals who seek continuous improvement. You need to be innovative, a very good team player and see your future in IT.

All positions are located at Scania in Södertälje and the program will start at two separate dates, one in the beginning of February and one in March 2018. Written and spoken English is required, skills in Swedish is a merit.
