The Global Account Manager is responsible for sales of the full breadth of portfolios of Synopsys EDA tools, HW emulation/prototyping solutions and semiconductor intellectual property (IP) to existing Synopsys customer(s). The main focus will be account management of a leading Swedish telecommunications equipment company.

The Global Account Manager will be responsible
  • to drive product adoption and sales to obtain revenue and booking goals
  • to create short- and long-term business opportunities by building relationships at all levels of the customer organization and positioning Synopsys' solutions to customer's requirements.
The qualified individual must have ability to develop and communicate multi-million dollar, value-adding, complex technical solution proposals.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead team selling efforts of product solution sales specialists, application engineers and R&D.
  • Create close relationships with key customer individuals at all levels of the organizations.
  • Develop, identify, qualify and forecast new business, focusing on named account(s).
  • Drive campaigns to meet or exceed pre-defined business targets.
  • Create compelling technical solution proposals and winning commercial proposals.
  • Develop long term business opportunities and account strategies.
  • Work in alignment with corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Report to Nordic sales manager.
  • Travel both domestic and international on a frequent basis.
Requirements:
  • BSc.EE with 5+ year of experience in technical solution selling and/or combination of selling and supporting technical sales, e.g., field applications engineering.
  • Understanding of semiconductor/software design and development flows and reasonable understanding of semiconductor IP's. Knowledge on SW quality and security solutions considered a plus.
  • Proven record of managing effective technical sales campaigns.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent team work, as well as participating and executing complex strategies within a global team.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical data and communicate to a broad range of technical and non-technical people.
  • Strong leadership skills to direct and influence teams to achieve their goals.
  • Good inter-personal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and establish relationships and trust with people of different personalities.
  • Comfortable in interacting and networking with senior internal and external executives.
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task, be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Good problem-solving, independent judgement, program management and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledgeable of the complete sales process.
At this level, post-graduate coursework or knowledge base equivalent may be desirable. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to independently resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Understands customer wants and needs. Customarily exercises a high level of independent judgment and interpretation in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Frequently performs in project leadership role. Drives programs and business initiatives. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and projects. Offers new solutions or direction and is able to encourage and motivate others to support new solution or direction. May advise senior management on specialized technical or business issues. May coordinate activities of other personnel as a team lead. Represents the organization as the principle contact on business unit and/or company-wide projects. Interacts with management and senior external personnel on matters requiring coordination across internal groups. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
