Perstorp is now looking for an experienced Site/Operations Manager to lead its manufacturing plant based in Stenungsund, Sweden. Reporting directly to the EVP for Operations, the role involves having full operational and legal responsibility for the site and it’s 250 employees. The role will require a self-motivated, driven leader with a blend of operational experience and people focused leadership ability who will be able to fit seamlessly into the Perstorp culture. You will have a clear, sustained record of achievement in a process environment (or similar) where you can demonstrate how you have implemented and maintained a lean manufacturing mindset that has led to a culture of continuous improvement, backed up by clear, quantifiable results. Of paramount importance in a high hazard environment is that you are able to operate with a clear and immovable focus on Safety and Health behaviors. The Site manager is expected to actively contribute in the development as a member of the Global Operations Team.

Your Tasks:

You will be responsible for all site activities, including:

Implementation and development of the unique corporate culture at Perstorp

Lead site management team - develop and implement organizational structure of site and way of working

Environmental, health and safety standards - it’s a high hazardous environment, located on a COMAH site.

Define long and short-term goals for the site - development of productivity and product quality - control and managing key performance metrics, processes, guidelines and tools

Continuous improvement of activities, including the introduction and deployment of 'lean manufacturing' techniques in order to achieve and maintain world class standards

Investments and budgeting - assessments and implementation of investment plans.

Contribute to a global framework - as a member of the Global Operations Team

Your profile:

We believe that you have at least 5 years of relevant industry experience in addition to 5+ years of site and/or operations leadership

You possess excellent leadership abilities with a natural affinity for people that engages and motivates, combined with the necessary communication, problem solving and influencing skills to introduce and drive positive change in day to day operations.

You have a record of identifying opportunities for improvements and an ability to create a vision that results in realistic proposals and plans for the implementation of new methods and equipment; also ensuring that such initiatives achieve the desired outcome.

You have an in-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques, backed by a solid understanding of modern and a practical grasp of TPM and Six Sigma.

You are likely to have chemical engineering or equivalent background, probably within chemistry

You speak native Swedish and master English without any problem in speech and writing.
