We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Aftonbladet team that is distributed between Kraków, Gdansk, and Stockholm. Your focus areas include inspiring, empowering and developing the team and making sure they work as one team; delivering timely, high-quality software. You will also contribute technically, both with code and in technical discussions, pushing with innovative thinking and implementation.

Schibsted Media are in it to reinvent our publishing products, investing heavily to build a world-class publishing platform. The ambition is an ecosystem of products that deliver and tell the news in a way that makes users feel like they have their own intelligent personal editor - seamless across any device. You'll work with Aftonbladet, Sweden's biggest news source and meeting place, engaging more than 3.5 million people on a daily basis. Aftonbladet's mission is to, with future-proof technology, build Europe's fastest and most engaging news product.

In our applications, we are mostly using JavaScript, both on the server using Node.js and on the client using React, our mobile apps are built using Swift, Kotlin, and Java. We also use plenty of responsive web-design, RESTful microservices, databases (e.g. Elasticsearch and Redis), testing frameworks (e.g. Jest and Espresso) and also CI tools (e.g. Travis).
