Want to join and build one of the world's most successful digital news services? Aftonbladet is Sweden's largest news service with 3.2 million daily users and 250,000 paying digital subscribers of Aftonbladet Plus and Plus Premium. Aftonbladet is part of Schibsted and you, in turn, will be part of Consumer Business where Schibsted's all publishers are included.

We are looking for a web developer for our Customer Experience department within Consumer Business at Aftonbladet. A team consisting of six people working closely with customer dialogue, customer loyalty, primarily focusing on digital channels, to increase revenue from our users.

You will work to ensure user-friendly and modern contact areas for the customer. A great focus is on converting customers to Aftonbladet Plus and optimizing those customers' experiences through our systems. You will also run AB testing and other conversion initiatives to increase our overall sales and commitment to customers. We strive to experiment with the latest technology to continually give the customer a better experience.

In addition to the Customer Experience team you will work with UX designers, researchers, product managers, developers and marketing teams in an agile environment within Consumer Business. In your day to day work, you will also support research and experiments to increase engagement and conversion rates for users.

We are looking for
  • Experience with responsive frontend development.
  • Ability to travel in Europe to participate in team meetups.
  • Working collaboratively with geographically distributed teams is a big plus
General knowledge about
  • CSS/HTML/JS
  • Server-side js (node.js)
  • Knowledge about rest APIs
Responsibilities
  • Drive conversion optimization through AB tests and lessons learned from collected data while having a good sense of UX
  • Form and optimize landing pages
  • Have experience in Wordpress
  • Be creative and experiment with new solutions in order to drive sales of Aftonbladet Plus, conversions, and Customer Experience
  • Forging strong relationships with your direct peers and colleagues cross Schibsted.

Tidningen grundades 1830 av Lars Johan Hierta och ägs i dag av den norska mediekoncernen Schibsted (91 procent) och Landsorganisationen, LO, (9 procent).
