Remote home-based role with 80% European Travel

We're currently looking for a Lab Automation Application Specialist (m/f/i) for one of the fastest growing segments of BD Integrated Diagnostics Solutions (IDS). This role is key to the success of the Lab Automation strategy and is required to collaborate and support our customers with workflow analyses, configuration and training upon their BD systems and to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation.

Required profile:

Major responsibilities include:
  • Support the implementation of the BD KiestrA at customer sites as a trusted advisor of the Microbiology laboratory pre-sales and during implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Project Managers, Field Service Engineers, Sales and other members of the Clinical Solutions team to execute comprehensive project plans for implementation.
  • Execute workflow assessments
  • Configuration of the BD KiestrA, provide KiestrA machine trainings and support at the customer, including the BD Data Management Solution
Lead implementation of LIS connectivity and customization of the software to the customer's existing and unique laboratory setting/system.
  • IT Server installations
  • Facilitate effective transfer of the project ownership to the customer at acceptance
Educated to University level in Biology and specialized in Microbiology, you must have a proven scientific support track record, underpinned by strong interpersonal skills, a real grasp of buyer/decision-maker types and the clear ability to assess and respond to customer needs. As an excellent communicator and presenter with robust analytical skills, you will be a flexible team player who enjoys working collaboratively within a matrix organization. Your ability to drive for results and meet targets will complement your initiative and ability to work autonomously to generate leads, prioritize and complete. Additionally, you handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner. With intermediate level PC-literacy in MS Office, ideally you'll also offer the experience:
  • Strong experience in the implementation of large scale sophisticated systems or Lab Automation products and services.
  • You are a strong communicator and comfortable working in a cross functional dynamic team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze technical related system issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and be adaptable to changing business environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This role is a remote role and requires 80% travel within Europe mainly
. Your home based location is flexible; however, living close to an airport will help to reduce travel time.
