Compliance Officer MSD Sweden

MSD Sweden is looking for a Compliance Officer to a ensure consistent and effective business compliance program. You're either already experienced in a similar role, or would like to grow your professional competence into the area of Business Compliance.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of a local compliance framework, closely working with internal functions and Regional Business Practices Manager. You will provide guidance to business stakeholders in the Sales & Marketing organization on MSD policies, Local Code of Ethics, Healthcare Professional (HCP) interactions and provide face-to-face compliance training to employees. Furthermore, you will be the Data Privacy Steward, and work in collaboration with the Global Privacy Office and Data Privacy Steward network to implement data privacy related guidance, processes and activities locally.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Taking a strong and active role in ensuring consistent and effective compliance standards in all parts of the GHH business in Sweden
  • Provide guidance to Business Stakeholders on all Business Compliance matters, policies, Local Code of Ethics and queries relating to the anti-bribery and corruption processes and systems, interactions with Healthcare professionals, Healthcare organizations, Patient organizations and Patient interactions, conduct of Patient Programs and Sponsorships.
  • Coordinate Compliance review meetings and provide guidance to program owners at the review meetings.
  • Conduct of regular assessments, identify improvement areas, and proactively address them. Provide the Leadership team, and the Compliance Committee analyses of those reviews, as well as presents the remediating actions and suggestions for improvement.
  • Update SOPs belonging to the role, oversee updates of Swedish Business SOPs belonging to others, and ensures adequate training on the changes in the SOP content. Keeping a log of all compliance trainings.
  • Data privacy Stewardship: advice, and training on data privacy matters, and guidance on performing privacy impact assessments
  • Conduct of Compliance reporting
Required profile:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Law or another relevant discipline
  • At least two years of work experience in an international company, preferably in the Pharmaceutical sector. Compliance related work experience will be an advantage.
  • Experience of working with processes and information systems.
  • Preferably familiarity with GDPR and data protection legislation
  • Prior experience in participating and actively influencing in cross-functional teams without managerial responsibility
  • Proven ability to develop sustainable cooperative professional relationships on all levels of the organization
  • Hands-on mentality: being able to carry out tasks self where necessary
  • Stakeholder focused, structured and reliable person that adheres to agreed timelines
  • Analytical and problem solving skills: Is able to see the necessary details as well as the big picture.
  • Stress resistance: Remains effective and balanced under pressure, resistance and / or uncertain circumstances.
  • Good communication, negotiation and organizational skills;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English
