Job description:

A Day in the Life

We are looking for a temporary HR colleague to support our Nordic HR Team.

As an HR Advisor, you are responsible to partner with the designated country leaders and their respective management teams, to implement business- & HR strategies and objectives. This role requires the HR Advisor to deeply understand the organization / businesses, be aligned on its strategic direction and provide support as an advisor to the designated senior leaders of the respective countries. This support can be on a strategic, tactical and/or operational level. You help the business to accelerate the execution of its strategies by execution and/or coordination of the desired HR abilities, as regards to:
  • Coaching business leaders
  • Organization design & development
  • Team effectiveness
  • Talent & succession planning
  • Change management
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Workforce planning
Besides these responsibilities you will build a strong collaboration with the HR COEs, where you pull in Specialists when needed, while monitoring and ensuring tasks are delivered in time and at high levels of quality. You ensure a strong link with COE's and Ask HR (HR Share Service Center ) to implement strategies and drive continuous improvement of HR programs and processes.

The HR Advisor reports to the Sr HR Director Nordics, Baltics & Poland & BCEGI and dotted line to the country manager of Sweden. Team work and - spirit are essential to the collective success.

Required profile:

As HR Advisor within the NBP region, you advise the respective Senior leaders and managers - as needed in collaboration with the respective COE's - on human resource policies, organization issues within the specific country and labor relation context. You intervene in case of problems and work towards a solution with composure, creativity and clarity in the end. Furthermore you refer to and share policies and practices for guidance.
You actively monitor organization performance by data analytics, HR trends and compare trends over time to improve the decision making.
Besides, we expect you to drive the HR priorities & initiatives in order to enhance the capabilities within the assigned organizations and in order to instill a talent mindset.

You provide coaching to leaders and managers to support leadership development, business decision making, and resource management/allocation and performance management, partnering with the COEs as applicable.
As the HR Advisor, you support and partner with the COEs to implement and customize global HR policies and programs with the local client groups with focus on alignment, acceptance and compliance.
Besides this we expect you to actively support the further roll out and execution of the HR service delivery model and act as a role model and champion of the Medtronic Leadership expectations and Ethics' Compass.

  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Proven track record of experience in HR Advisor role in all its aspects
  • Experience in employee and labor relations, knowledge of employment law
  • Change management experience
  • Experience in a working in an international environment and a matrix organization
  • You are highly flexible, results oriented and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • You are self-organized, able to work with general supervision and have a problem solving & hands-on mentality
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent service orientation, a strong team player and an out of the box thinker is welcomed.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • We prefer candidates based in Stockholm
  • The role is temporary for minimum of 12 months
  • Preferred start date: as quickly as possible
