Simply put we do two things at Nielsen, we measure the performance of our clients, and we analyse to help them improve their performance. The Sales Effectiveness team is focused on helping manufacturers and retailers to understand the levers that influence consumer purchase decisions, and via consultancy, the Sales Effectiveness team gives guidance to our clients how to optimize their strategy and tactics to obtain better results.

Some examples of areas where the Sales Effectiveness team is focused on are: helping our clients understand execution instore, investigating how changes in store is effecting sales, reporting data and insights that helps our clients take better decisions on assortment and pricing.


You will make a difference by partnering with our analytical consultants and using data to explain what is happening with their brands and what they should do to improve business performance. Working together with your Nielsen colleagues you will support projects with data reporting and be responsible for securing the process of turning data into insights and reports. The Sales Effectiveness department will bring you an exciting and fun environment to work in, and the opportunity to make a big impact to our clients' business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Earning client trust and building relationships by delivering meaningful analysis
  • Understanding the business needs of our client and applying solutions
  • Manage projects starting from client needs to final delivery and presentation
  • Analysing information and contributing to presentations with other team members
  • Managing sales by identifying opportunities and collaborating closely with the sales team to see that these are met
  • Understanding our tools and systems as well as the Nielsen product portfolio
  • Working closely with all teams to ensure work is connected to meet client business issues.

If you like data, statistics and consultancy you will be a good match and can become a part of finding the right solutions to answer clients' business questions. To be successful in this role you need to have good statistical knowledge and SAS-programming skills. We welcome both candidates with already a few years of working experience and fresh graduates with strong project management skills and numerical confidence. To grow together with the role and Nielsen strong communication and client-facing skills are needed.

Key requirements:
  • Around 2 years of working experience, experience within FMCG industry is very welcome, but not necessary
  • Bachelor degree
  • Good statistical knowledge
  • Knowledge in SAS-programming, additional programming skills is an advantage
  • Fluent English and at least intermediate Swedish
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Good at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to analyse data and summarise into a story
  • Numerical confidence and ability to translate numbers into insights and recommendations
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a digitally enabled environment
