The position Would you like to change the course of allergic diseases for the potential benefit of millions of people?
ALK is looking for a Manager of the Cellular Immunology Team in Global Research. This position has a key role in the ALK Research Department and is of great strategic importance to ALK.
You will head a team composed of seven highly motivated and dedicated scientists and technicians organised in Global Research with a total of 50 employees. In addition to the close interaction within Global Research, you will collaborate directly with most parts of the Global R&D organisation. In particular, this includes Early Stage Development, Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs. We also expect you to interact with the research community outside ALK in order to continue our longstanding tradition of having external collaborations.
Fields of responsibility
Continuously provide leading knowledge within the fields of allergy and asthma immunology
Lead and manage the Cellular Immunology Team within the Immunology Function
Participate in cross-organizational efforts supporting ALK's present and future portfolio of allergy immunotherapy (AIT) vaccines
Build and maintain international relationships with leading research groups outside ALK.
At least 10 years of research experience in the field of human immunology, preferentially within the fields of allergy and/or asthma
A documented record of productive research at the highest level internationally
Experience with group leadership and people management from industry or academic institution
An open and collaborative mindset, with the ability to motivate and lead people around you
Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing.
