We are looking for a curious, ambitious and self-driven Business Intelligence Analyst with passion for technology and data for our office in Ørestad. You will perform hands-on analysis and reporting as well as provide new Business Intelligence Solutions to maximize data utility in Mars Nordics. About the job

You will be responsible for instituting new procedures and solutions from ground up as we are interested in furthering our data collection and analytics practices within an Omni channel environment.

You will be responsible for processing several different types of data, both internal and external, and make sure it applies to business needs. You will be successful with your technical, analytical, business and problem-solving skills as well as capabilities within eCommerce analytics.

The role spans across Mars’ four product categories and across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. You will report to the Nordic Category Director but collaborates with Finance, Marketing, Logistics and Sales.

For example, your areas of responsibilities will be:
  • Ensure an analytic and reporting foundation for Mars Nordic based in the business needs
  • Bring analytics and report from huge degree of manual work to huge degree of automatization where it is relevant and the needs can be replicated
  • Develop and provide new Business Intelligence Solutions and complex reports to support Mars Nordic Business based on internal systems and external sources with the aim that key stakeholders have full knowledge support and necessary tools to drive strategic growth priorities
  • Guide the business about data storage structures and about various ways data can be applied in order to aid business intelligence
  • Review and validate various data sources, develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data as well as create and find new data processing/analytics programs
  • Development, deployment and handling of established KPI tools in Nordics, enforcing tracking and commitment to strategy as well as empowering associates with the tools they need
  • Continuous research (e.g. Nielsen, GfK) development, data quality, reports delivery and availability
  • Handling reporting request from the Nordic unit and Western Europe (e.g. market shares or dashboards) and networking with European Customer Market Insights community on best practices and research competencies
  • Build eCommerce data capabilities and work with key customers on how to optimize search and perfect screen via in-depth analysis and data management

About you

We think you are a self-starter who thrives in driving projects effectively within your area of responsibility. You are inspired by making a difference and passionate about taking this new function to a new level. You are naturally analytical with a sharp business acumen. This role is interacting with the team and other business functions’ on a daily basis, hence you are a clear communicator and strong collaborator.

In addition, we are looking for you with:
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst/Business Intelligence Analyst role where you have performed both complex reporting and analysis as well as suggesting/implementing new BI solutions to the organization
  • Higher education degree, preferably Master, related to Business Administration/Computer Science/International Business/Business Intelligence/Information Management or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and find appropriate applications for data and analysis results
And any of the following:
  • Experience working with tools such as SQL Database, Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
  • Advanced Excel skills, comfortable with PowerPivot, data modelling in SQL and Excel
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office’s programming language
  • High analytical skills, experience in big data analysis and transformation of data into Business Insights and Strategy
  • Experience with working with retail data from AC Nielsen/GFK/software like AC Nielsen User Module or GFK’s SimIT is a plus but not a must
