A day in the life of a Corporate Affairs (CA) Executive/Specialist
As a CA Executive, you will contribute to the delivery of the overall Cluster CA strategy for all NE countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Ireland). You will be working with building our Corporate Reputation, Corporate Social media, responding to Issues and crisis management. Also, supporting Public Affairs and Consumer Care team where necessary. You will lead on the development and execution of business communications to align Associates behind strategy and Purpose - and will additionally play a leadership role in driving a number of Mars Signature Programs e.g. Mars Volunteering Program.

Essential duties and responsibilities
You will also be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Contribute to the development of CA priorities, plans and monitoring/measuring the progress for the NE Cluster.
  • Internal communication: Execute and contribute to the creation of internal communications which mobilize Associates against the Cluster Strategy and Mars Purpose including corporate signature programs.
  • Research and monitor local unit Public Affairs issues important to Mars and the segments in order to avoid any surprises. Including local stakeholder mapping.
  • External communication: Where required market level execution of media relations. Delivering key corporate and segment messages and positions (Petcare, Gum & Confections, Chocolate, Food) consistently and positively as part of a communications plan that helps drive share of voice of Mars in Central Europe in traditional and social media.
  • Supporting the Crises communication and preparation for Crisis where relevant
  • Supports Consumer Care escalations when required and in times of high volume.
  • Project management and delivery including working with third party vendors for events management; and content creation where required.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for you if you are deeply passionate about corporate communication, public affairs & project management. You are used to take initiative, seek responsibility and drive for the results.

Ideally You are/have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or Business or another related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in communications disciplines, with experience in Corporate Communications both internal and external communications and media relations
  • Experience in government relations and stakeholder management - reputation management and issues/ crisis management will be a plus
  • Ability to manage a diverse and broad range of issues and projects simultaneously
  • Team player with an ability to work across function, segments & locations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English and minimum one Nordic Cluster language (preferably Swedish or Finnish)
