A day in the life of an Associate
As Portfolio & Media Manager, you will be responsible of the full Portfolio pipeline and Strategic Media plan for a given category and battlefield. Working closely with the other pillar teams within our Demand function, as well as internal Sales, Finance and Supply teams, you will drive innovation plans with excellence in execution.

As Portfolio & Media Manager you are also responsible for contributing to overall Multisales Transformation strategy of Simplification and ensuring best Return on Investment. You will report into Portfolio Lead, or Senior Portfolio Lead, depending on category of responsibility.

Essential duties and responsibilities
A Portfolio & Media Manager essentially is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Lead development of Portfolio Plan over three years integrating regional learnings
  • Map out share wins/losses over three years to establish Mars growth corridor as part of the Business of Tomorrow Planning Process
  • Prepare portfolio initiatives related to the agreed long term growth platforms consistent with regional learnings
  • Accountable for the assortment for given category / battlefield portfolio - including portfolio complexity (number of items, sales/per item), channel specific items, renovation plans, etc.
  • Manage initiatives through the stage & gate process in S&OP+ (PMR-Portfolio Management Review)
  • Manage regional process related to portfolio changes
  • Attend regional calls and share regional strategies/best practices within our NE cluster
  • Lead flywheel analysis as part of annual planning process - and ad hoc as required based on business context
  • Plan Media through yearly ICP (Internal Communication Planning) process with focus on Return on Investment
  • Manage the advertising budget with support of Finance co-pilot
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with strong planning and analytical skills, as well as drive for result. Our best Portfolio & Media managers have an excellent eye for details, and ability to organize, prioritize, solve problems, and communicate effectively. In addition, we're looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with our fantastic brands within the Mars portfolio, and who are keen on inspiring key stakeholders both internally and externally about our different brand vision & purposes.

Ideally You are/have:
  • At least bachelor's degree in Business Economics, Marketing, or another related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Marketing or Category Management experience
  • Business process management experience desired
  • Planning and organizational skills/ability to organize workload and deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills as you will work with many different stakeholders
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, especially in English
  • You are a great team player, approachable and love contributing to a positive atmosphere in the organization.
  • Fluent in one Nordic Language will be a plus but not required
