In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society
About the department
Clinical Pharmacology, Biopharm is one of four departments in the Clinical Pharmacology functional area supporting the entire Novo Nordisk development portfolio from first in man trials to registration. We are ten dedicated and highly competent employees, primarily clinical pharmacologists, working in the department.
Clinical Pharmacology, Biopharm plays a key role in the development of new drugs, especially within haemophilia and growth disorders at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of the global development key project teams, and we are operationally and scientifically responsible for the planning and execution of clinical pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to the overall development plans and during submissions and post-submissions phases. We have a strong collaboration and interface with our Global Research organisation.
As Manager of Clinical Pharmacology, Biopharma, you are responsible for the continued and proactive development of staff and department, and of new methodologies to sustain and advance Clinical Pharmacology as the Centre of Excellence. You are specifically responsible for Clinical Pharmacology, Biopharm deliveries in accordance with the project milestones and priorities.
You will report to the Vice President of Clinical Pharmacology and take active part in the management team of this area, contributing to the development and operation of Clinical Pharmacology as being an attractive and challenging place to work.
You hold a relevant university degree, e.g. MSc, MD, or other, preferably complemented by a PhD and have demonstrated excellent leadership skills and ability to deliver results. You have a minimum of 10 years' experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry. You are expert in clinical pharmacology methodologies incl. pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety assessments, and in the translation from non-clinical to clinical drug development. You have in-depth understanding of scientific topics relating to protein drug development, and solid understanding of the pharmaceutical business and regulatory environment.
You have proven excellent people management skills: you set direction, take responsibility and lead and motivate your staff to work for joint objectives. As a person you are well organised, clear and influential communicator, and you have strong problem-solving capabilities. You can keep your spirits high even when under pressure, and you can collaborate at any organisational level. Finally, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
