In Maersk we are on a mission to become The Global Integrator of container logistics by connecting and simplifying our customers' supply chains. With simple end-to-end offering of products and digital services, seamless customer engagement and a superior end-to-end delivery network, we in Maersk enables our customers to trade and grow by transporting goods anywhere - all over the world.

Our Sales team is responsible for the commercial and financial development of assigned customer portfolio. By listening in to our client's logistics and supply chain needs, our sales representatives is there to develop and sell our Value offering for securing new and additional business.

Key responsibilities

As Customer Development Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial and financial development of the Maersk product portfolio covering our clients full Supply chain need. As a step in becoming the global integrator of container logistics we need you to focus on developing new relationships with business prospects with the aim of connecting and simplifying their supply chains.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

Develop new business opportunities with growth potential
  • Build prospect pipeline to identify target clients.
  • Identify, qualify, consult, and develop value propositions enabling the sell of large scale and complex supply chain solutions within a defined vertical industry(s).
  • Negotiate and coordinate global tenders
  • Support in smooth customer implementation and compliance of won opportunities.
Pre and Post Sales Responsibilities
  • Ensure that solutions are fully scoped with robust pre- and post-sales engagement and commitment from internal stakeholders in product and operational teams
  • Actively engage with customers on won business to measure activity levels and investigate additional business opportunities
Commercial expansion
  • Represent Maersk in relevant industry, vertical and marketing events
  • Identify and share customer strategies with relevant product managers to ensure product development is aligned to changing customer needs
Required profile:

We are looking for

We believe the ideal candidate is/has:
  • A good understanding of logistics and supply chains solutions and how this can be utilized in both the local Scandinavian market but al-so on larger regional or global scale, pricing and terminology.
  • A proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning large opportunities, through both personal and collaborative selling efforts.
  • Experience from Retail/FMCG vertical client segment
  • Project management skills with the ability to utilize the collaboration and knowledge from different internal stakeholders
  • Influencing and persuasive selling skills
  • Financial and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English and Swedish language
