Are you our next test automation engineer for the Gothenburg team?
We are now looking for testers with experience of automatic testing that want to become part of our core business. In this role you work as a consultant with a main focus on test automation in a team where personal development and competence are in focus. We are looking for someone who has worked for a couple of years in testing with a focus on test automation and who is interested in a new career opportunity. Read on below!

What is the role like?
Sigma IT's Quality & Test Team currently consist of about 40 employees and we are growing!

You become part of our test team and work on assignments at one of our customers' location. We have a large network of contacts with many framework agreements and thus we have good opportunities to offer attractive assignments where the latest technology is in focus.

The focus of your work lies on architecture and programming of mainly automatic tests. Here you are part of a Scrum team where you work together with others to develop and manage the automated tests. Depending on the assignment, it is possible to participate and influence the choice of methods and work tools.

You plan the test work, prioritize, secure resources and follow up and improve the testing process. As a tester you are curious and you are happy to supplement scripted testing with exploratory testing and you have an understanding of when in the process should automate the testing and when it is suitable with manual testing.

Your background
You have understanding of, knowledge in and above all curiosity about different test tools & test methods and how they can be used effectively in the test work. You also know how the test work needs to be conducted in different sub-areas such as integration tests, performance tests, testing of mobile applications, usability tests etc.

You have worked for more than two years with test automation in larger and smaller test projects. We believe that you have previous experiences in agile approaches, such as Scrum. You are comfortable with some of the following tools and concepts:
  • Selenium
  • FitNesse
  • Cucumber
  • Continuous Integration
Furthermore, we would like you to have some programming experience, for example in Python, JavaScript, Java and / or C#

It is also an advantage if you have:
- Relevant certifications (ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Agile Tester) - if you do not have them you will get them with us.

You are probably a trained systems scientist, engineer or similar.
