Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

This role has an unique opportunity to contribute on the journey we embark on. We support purchasing and Scania with long term development of suppliers into reliable and competitive partners to achieve sustainable results at suppliers, and give a direct result for Scania and the supplier. The team are heavily involved in supplier development of our new suppliers within Electrification. We are expanding our team, and now looking for a Senior Supplier Development Advisor.

Job description
In close cooperation with purchasing line organization analyse, identify and handle the top Scania supply chain risks and potentials with high and medium long-term impact. Manage the identified risks and in a structured way to prevent them from becoming reality. We use our own experience from Scania Production units as reference when working and developing the suppliers. By using methods and standardized way of working based on SPS, for example SWOT, SMED, VSM, small teams and real time management.

Your profile
We are looking for a person with advanced experience of leadership and genuine knowledge of Production & Logistics. You need to have the ability to work close to supplier´s top management (Owner, CEO and plant manager), and personnel on all levels. Understand and work with the context and details. Analyse and challenge the normal and abnormal situation, and need at the supplier, coach the suppliers to develop and improve themselves.

We believe that you
  • Have third line leadership experience within Scania Production and Logistics, experience from working in a PRU management team.
  • Deep knowledge and broad experience of Scania´s production system SPS.
  • Communicate in a clear way and build trustful relationships.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English. German language skills are considered a merit.
  • Have a broad and established network through Scania, both in- and outside of Södertälje.
The work requires extensive travelling to our suppliers.
