We have an immediate opening for an External manufacturing engineer at AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry in Stenungsund. You will manage our external contractors, be the focal point and responsible for our external resources required to maintain our world class business. About the job

As External manufacturing engineer you will be the focal point for information around activities with external manufacturing partners for Surface Chemistry. You will coordinate activities and product flow in operations within the region, with the objective to provide high service level at competitive costs.

Main responsibilities


* Represent Surface Chemistry Europe in day to day and midterm operational issues with the external manufactures


* Support in establishing contracts with toll producers


* Monitor and safeguard that the external manufacture follows the work processes stipulated in the contract


* Follow up and formally reviews and document issues


* Be the focal point of Surface Chemistry EMEIA for issues around the materials supplied from or processed sites


* Translate the overall demand plan provided by the central planning team into a production schedule agreed with the toll producer, adapting to actual sales orders and actual stock situation


* Coordinate deviation handling between toll producers and Surface Chemistry EMEIA with respect to manufacturing and logistical issues


* Availability constraint handling - communication with Customer service and Supply Planning Manager
About you

We are looking for you that have a university degree in engineering, preferably within materials management, logistics or chemical engineering and with work experience from either or more of any these areas: chemicals manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain/ logistics. You have interest of contract management and have the possibility to be a professional and trustworthy partner to our external manufactures and within AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals. You are fluent in Swedish and English and are a good communication with organizational skills.



In order to succeed in the role you need good coordination and collaborative ability. You are a person who likes problem solving, with a structured approach. You like to find solutions to problems and share your knowledge with others. The position requires high sense of responsibility, good teamwork and high quality awareness.
