Michael Page are now looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join a research-driven part of the Stora Enso Biomaterials division.


The Role as Strategic Finance Business Partner is broad and includes;
  • Financial analysis to support business cases evaluation, including joint development, partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop valuation models to support business and technology concepts on each phase of the stage-gate process.
  • Challenge and validate assumptions in order to help creating bullet-proof business cases.
  • Work closely to the Strategic Marketing' directors and Innovations team, and engage on the implementation of projects approved by the Innovation Board.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports of the portfolio's pipeline, including KPI´s and benchmark.
  • Interface with group functions, i.e. Investments, M&A, Accounting and Reporting, Tax and Treasury, in order to ensure smooth internal processes and compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Compiles and analyzes data regarding companies to be acquired and/or to approve partnerships.
  • Support due diligence and create/validate key negotiation points working with cross functional teams.
  • Interact with senior management on a frequent basis, discuss deals and support execution.
  • Partner with IT and Innovation Management areas to work on management tools and process improvement initiatives.
  • University education in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering.
  • Solid experience in business controlling and finance positions.
  • Proven track record in investment analysis, business cases valuation, financial modelling and M&A projects.
  • Good knowledge of risk analysis and due diligence techniques.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. - Hands-on attitude and strong work ethics.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and interact effectively with management and local finance staff, across divisions and functional departments.
  • International experience and/or experience working in a multicultural environment are considered as a merit.
The position requires flexible working hours and extensive travelling during peak project periods.
