ROLE SUMMARY

StratCO (Strategy & Commercial Operations) is an enabling division within Pfizer that provides commercial services to our Business Units. These services include Sales & Marketing CRM support, Skills & Brand Trainings, Meetings & Congresses, MultiChannel Communication and Compliance Support.

The "StratCO Commercial Operations Lead Sweden" is a dual hat role combining the leadership of the local StratCO organization for Sweden with an operational service delivery role in one of the 6 categories. The Sweden lead will report to the StratCO EU MSM Cluster 1 Lead, and will be a member of the StratCO EU MSM Cluster 1 Leadership Team.

Role responsibilities

StratCO Commercial Operations Lead Sweden (50%)
  • Client & Service Demand Management
  • Acts as point of contact and relationship owner for the local business stakeholders across all layers of the local organization.
  • Advocates the available StratCO service catalogue towards business stakeholders.
  • Obtains local business requirements and service needs, and enables/facilitates local X-BU collaboration and decision making.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day delivery of services with the local colleagues or the virtual Service Center
Direct & Indirect People Management

*Manages the local StratCO colleagues (where applicable).

Strategy Development

*Guides and feeds the future strategy across all StratCO service areas, based on a deep understanding of the local business environment and future demands.

High-level responsibilities in the StratCO Service areas:
  • Commercial Training
  • Captures local training needs and stimulates X-BU utilization of resources.
  • Identifies and escalates new training needs to Global & Regional teams.
  • M&E (Meetings & Events)
  • Facilitates deployment of new M&E platforms, processes and policies.
  • Escalates identified service issues and improvement opportunities to the M&E Service Center.
  • SMS (Sales & Marketing Services)
  • Seizes opportunities to demonstrate incremental SMS value beyond traditional FFE services.
  • DCE (Digital Channel Enablement)
  • Supports the countries in the development of BU specific and XBU MCM strategies.
  • Identifies and escalates digital needs to the DCE Service Center

Functional service delivery role Sweden (50%)

*Given the size of the country and local infrastructure, this role is a dual hat role and the selected candidate will have 50% of time dedicated to do a hands-on job in one of the 6 areas. The functional area will be selected depending on the profile of the selected candidate

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required as a minimum
  • Min. 10 years of professional experience in commercial operations or transferrable skills.
  • Proven work experience in at least 2 functions / roles in commercial operations or other BU roles.
  • Pharmaceutical Sales and marketing experience preferred.
  • Good market business acumen for assigned market.
  • Candidates should be based in the assigned market.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyse information, ability to synthesize problems and develop innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in project management skills. Proven ability to drive execution of strategies.
  • Proficient in common technical tools (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge status quo
  • Influencing & negotiation skills
  • Language skills: fluent in local language and English. High IT Literacy (technology savvy) & numeric skills
