SJR IT are looking for a Strategic buyer with experience from IT and Telecom industry. The mission starts 4-12-2017 and ends 03-07-2018.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engage with stakeholders for RFI, RFP, RFQ and evaluation processes. -Contract negotiations with IT and Telecom suppliers. -Support and lead commercial activities throughout the supplier lifecycle within IT. -Act as escalation point for commercial issues pertaining to supplier management. -Continually review IT and Telecom contracts to identify consolidation opportunities and synergy effects. -Actively promote best working practices at all levels within the IT and business stakeholders to support continued improvement. -Actively participate in Group and regional Purchasing activities representing the IT and Telecom category.


Key stakeholders to liaise with are regional IT unit leaders and the Indirect purchasing organization. Building long term relationship with the IT heads and the Indirect Purchasing community is a key to manage the category in a professional and effective way.

Competences Needed:

General/Core Competences: Result driven, analytical and outgoing personality. The applicant shall have the ability to work effectively independently or as a part of a multi-functional team. Good communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally. Relationship builder with strong interpersonal relationship skills and a "can-do" attitude. Organized, methodical with good time management skills. Educated to degree level with a formal qualification within Procurement, IT or Legal is an advantage.

Key Competences:

Essential: -Superior negotiation skills/strong persuasive skills -Strong commercial and analytical skills -Strong communication skills with internal and external contacts -Experience from Sourcing on a strategic/tactical level -Experience from IT industry

Desirable: -Experience from Telecom industry -Experience from Project Management -Experience from IT Sourcing transformation / business transformation.

Previous Experience:

Experience negotiating global purchasing contracts, within the IT business area. Hands on experience of Software, Outsourcing, Services and Telecom agreements is a plus. Working knowledge of all legal aspects of contract management. Proven track record in delivering savings through effective purchasing techniques. Proven ability to work across national and functional boundaries to achieve the best result. Experience at managing sourcing at a TCO level. Experience of developing and implementing effective procurement processes.
