Data Foundations is a central team within Schibsted that is responsible for the data platform, and building data fueled products with emphasis on volume, velocity and privacy. Our contextual team within Data Foundations is looking for a fullstack engineer with frontend focus to join us in Stockholm.

We are a friendly and diverse team responsible for developing and maintaining the contextual advertising product: relevant advertising based on context, without tracking users or using 3rd party cookies. The product is new, in rapid growth and uses a combination of natural language processing algorithms. Our vision is to be a one-stop-shop for enriching content across Schibsted brands by enabling content-based ads in Schibsted products.

You will have the possibility to push for state-of-the-art solutions in big data processing as well as building reliable and highly scalable services.

What you'll do
  • Lead the development of the frontend and the backend services used, continuously enhancing and expanding these, influencing decisions and the way forward!
  • Help in further improving the contextual product, bringing in and shaping new ideas, functionalities and concepts together with the team, product management and stakeholders
  • Work on visualization, automation and monitoring tools for our product
  • Work with tech such as Python, JavaScript, Svelte, Kuberentes, AWS as well as continuously explore tools, methods and technologies
  • Work together across various disciplines such as machine learning engineers, data scientists and data engineers, product managers, end users and other stakeholders
What you know
  • Frontend: web development using a modern JavaScript framework, preferably with UI/UX skills
  • Backend: demonstrable skills at our main programming language for the backend, Python
  • Experience working with different runtime environments: Kubernetes and EC2
  • Knowledge about common AWS services
  • It's a plus if you also understand the concepts and have experience with continuous deployment
