Cigarette smoking shortens the life of just over 6 million people annually. Smoking rates decline at a far too slow pace. In fact, so slow that tomorrow holds more smokers than todays´1.2 billion due to population growth. Therefore, we have created Business Unit International with the purpose to expand the Swedish Match smoke-free product portfolio footprint in Europe (ex Nordics), Asia, South America, Africa and Middle East. About the position
Right now we are looking for a Business Controller to the newly formed Business Unit International. Since the position is new, you will have the opportunity to participate in developing the Business Unit as well as the working methods and key tasks of the Business Control function. You will be a Business Partner to staff functions: Marketing, Sales Retail Europe, International and Travel Retail and E-Commerce. The position is located at the Group’s head office in Stockholm City.

Key Responsibilities
Your main tasks and accountabilities will be:
  • Perform analysis of the business/financial performance and compile monthly and quarterly reporting for the Business Unit
  • Support the Director Business Control as well as the staff functions in ad-hoc analysis, projects and business cases
  • Maintain a high level of business understanding through analysis of market development and competitive activity
  • Act as a primary business partner to staff functions
  • Deliver accurate reporting on the performance, financial position and cash flow of the business
  • Increase the probability of decision making that maximizes results and drives the business in line with the strategy
  • Maximize operating efficiency in order to minimize unnecessary costs and risks
  • Assist in the follow-up of KPIs and other strategic targets
You will report to the Director Business Control, Business Unit International.

Your profile
You have an academic degree in Business, Economics or Engineering. We believe that you have 3-5 years of work experience within Business Control, Auditing, Corporate Finance or Management Consulting. You have a high degree of literacy in Microsoft Office products especially Excel and preferably basic understandings of BI systems. Furthermore you have high level of communicative ability in English.

Personal skills
You are a high performing individual with an interest in business performance analysis. You have strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver exceptional quality. To be suitable for the position you are ambitious and possess a hands-on and proactive attitude. You are motivated by taking own initiatives and display a high degree of creativity and endurance in developing new processes. In order to succeed in this role you also need strong People Management skills. Finally you thrive working in a dynamic and international environment.
