In Vaisalas Industrial Measurements business the company develops measurement instruments and sells to thousands of Vaisala’s customers in life science, power transmission and many other industrial application markets ranging from automotive to the food industries.

This is a Frontline Sales and Channel Support position requiring the ability to discuss technical topics about the Industrial Instruments entire portfolio and the diverse set of its applications.

The focus of the position will be Sweden and the promotion, specification and sales of our industrial instruments and related services directly to end users and indirectly through our partners (distributors, resellers, OEM’s, Integrators, EPC’s, etc). This will be accomplished by working in close co-operation with your colleagues in Sweden, our global marketing, application engineering and customer service groups as well as the technical support staff.

Vaisalas Swedish office is located in Västra Hamnen, Malmö.

Your Tasks
  • Sales in Sweden of Industrial Instruments portfolio and related services direct to end users or indirectly through partners.
  • Work in close cooperation with sales colleagues in Sweden to continue successful market growth.
  • Understand the regulations related to this business and be updated on trends and different market needs.
  • Detect and develop business opportunities across Sweden.
  • Develop and execute growth plan in the assigned region.
  • Develop and execute trade shows, teaming with marketing and partners, seminars and focused technical presentations/webinars.
  • Ability to develop relationship and network at the different levels across the region.
  • Answer technical sales questions and recommend equipment for a diverse set of applications.
  • Efficiently respond to customer inquiries.
  • Create sales proposals and quotations.
  • Track activities in Salesforce CRM.
  • Act as a link between the Product Managers, Application experts and customers.
  • Work in close cooperation with our marketing, customer service group, and technical support experts, as well as peers across the region. You will be responsible for all local activities.
Your profile
  • At least 5 years of own sales engineering role within the Swedish industry
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other relevant technical know-how
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and optimization/automation development
  • Proactive and team attitude
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time to support customers, trade shows, events, customer visits, trainings etc.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce and Oracle E-Business Suite would be advantageous
  • Native Swedish in verbal and writing. Business-English without problem in verbal and writing.
  • Self-management skilled - structured and well organized
  • You live in or close to either Malmö, Stockholm or Gothenburg.
